A 2-Hour Training with Dr. Gabe Corpus, PhD
Virtual via Zoom | 11:00am-1:00pm
Presentation: Many people who struggle with suicide never get the life-saving help that is available to them. BSBB for Suicide Prevention will teach you to recognize when someone you know needs that help. And you'll leave this course knowing options to get them access to that help. BSBB is designed to teach you how to apply the science of suicide prevention to your specific community. You will learn how to spot when your community may have specific needs, challenges, and strengths, and how to incorporate that into your efforts to help.
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate asking if someone is considering suicide sensitively and confidently;
- Explain how to connect individuals with the appropriate support; and
- Demonstrate how to approach suicide prevention in a culturally sensitive manner.
