A 6-Hour Training with Mike Bricker, MS, CADC-II, NCAC-2, LPC
8:30am-4:00pm
130 Pembroke Road, Suite 150, Concord, NH 03301
Presentation: To paraphrase the old Paul Simon song - “There could be 50 ways to lose your license!” Rather than a “snore-fest” of specifics and details, we offer a return to foundational principles illustrated by interactive vignettes to demonstrate the core values of ethical behavior.
The growing complexity of Behavioral Health practice and pace of change with social media and Artificial Intelligence can be confusing and daunting to clinicians. A few years ago, most of us knew nothing about telehealth, much less the ethical implications for confidentiality, etc. While innovations flourish around us, the Core Principles of Ethical Practice remain relatively constant, but nuances are important to recognize. This training attempts to cut through the fog and stormy seas of change to the lighthouse beacon: the commonalities in the NAADAC, NASW, ACA and New Hampshire Codes of Ethics.
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify and verbalize the 6 foundational principles which underpin all Ethical Codes, including NAADAC;
- Discuss how these principles apply to SUD/MH practice in New Hampshire; and
- Explore through interactive vignettes how these abstract concepts can be made practical in everyday decision-making.
