Ethics: Telehealth and Technology Assisted Services - November 9, 2026

Presentation: Ethics are more than guiding principles; they are foundations for practice. This training will provide an overview of the Code of Ethics which governs the practice of social workers, counselors, and psychologists. The primary focus of this session includes an exploration of the strengths and challenges in telehealth/technology assisted services. Participants will explore concerns as well as safeguards to ensure ethical practice.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

1. Summarize the code of ethics and standards of their profession;
2. Examine ethical considerations in the use of technology and telemental health;
3. Discuss the emerging use and ethical considerations with Artificial Intelligence; and
4. Identify best practices in safeguarding against ethical breaches when engaged in telehealth/assisted care.

Break Information: This training includes two-15 minutes breaks and a 30-minute lunch. Exact break and meal schedule is at the discretion of the presenter and may vary.
